This past weekend we packed up the family and headed to San Diego. Not really for a vacation I guess, but for the Police and Fire Olympic Games. My hubster has been playing men's softball for years now. A group of his comrades from work put together this kick butt team and they killed it this weekend. Taking the silver medal! Can you say WOOT! Out of 30 teams from the United States our boys took #2. 10 Softball games in 3 days, some groin muscles pulled, bruises and scrapes, these men played like champs. Us ladies are very proud of our boys.
Here is a mini recap of my weekend. I took over 200 photos, so I had to break it down for ya. My hubster had a great Fathers Day weekend. Good people, Good Food, Good Games and Great Wins!
We dined at Joe's Crab Shack one night for dinner. My boys handled a kiddie Steam Pot like Pros! We had crab flying. We did a little hokey pokey during dinner and enjoyed the company of some new friends. (I tell ya, God is blessing us with some amazing people) If you have never been to a
Joe's Crab Shack and you enjoy sea food...YOU MUST GO! The environment is so fun. Our kids have a blast every time!
We hung out at the hotel pool every evening. Hubster had to rest his old man knees after those softball games. Hung out in OLD TOWN San Diego. Visited the old church buildings and walked around the town. Of course we didn't pass up Cold Stone Creamery.
CDCR Men sporting their Silver Medal. So close to the Gold, but with injured players...
we were happy with going home with the silver...and our men not in wheel chairs.
This weekend we are off to Santa Maria for my girls travel Soccer League.
Stay tuned next week sometime for a recap of that event.
Can not wait to get my toes in the sand at my favorite place...PISMO BEACH.
OH, did I mention swan dive my face into a bowl of clam chowder from SPLASH CAFE!!!
Hope your Men, Fathers, Uncles and Brothers had a great Fathers Day Weekend.
