Thrift Store Lamp...turned Shabby Sheek

AS you know I have been slowly working on Duckies room.
I started FULL THROTTLE in January and sort of just fizzled out.
I saw that sparkly light and got distracted.
Skipped on over to another project.

Here is here room now...still waiting...

So I am back at working on the bedroom. I need to make some floor length curtains and a closet drape.
For now I started with a small detail. Her bedside lamp.
I found this beauty at Goodwill.
Finally something priced reasonable.

 Pretty right?!?

$6.00....I was happy with that!
I primed her with the one and only Rustoleums Spray Paint Primer then painted her with...

Isn't it so berry cute!
I love it!

I took a Lamp Shade I found at Target for $9.99 and using my Cricut I cut out a Chandelier Silhouette
using the Wall Decor and More Cartridge

My original plan was to put the silhouette on the INSIDE of the shade. After inspecting the shade further...SOMEONE named DUCKIE had pen marks on it. I should have never had this in her room before I could finish it...Mom point DEDUCTED!
So I decided to put the image on the outside and paint over the original shade. BOO!

BLAH! POOP!
So I made do with what I had...
pulled out my acrylic paint and covered up my "Opps".
Then I added some rhinestones around the image.

Added a black glaze to the base

meh...oh well...not everything can turn out how you expect it. Duckie likes it...and it works...for now.

now to make a topiary for that urn...

I'm hooking up with
